As a member of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), Estonian Logistics and Freight Forwarding Association (ELFA) has the right to issue the FIATA documents. As of May 1996, ELFA issues the following documents:

FIATA Multimodal Transport Bills of Lading, FIATA FBL and FIATA FWB;

FIATA Forwarder’s Certificate of Receipt, FIATA FCR;

FIATA Freight Forwarding Instructions, FIATA FFI.

Interest towards the possibilities to use the FIATA documents has increased year by year, as FIATA documents have also been added to contracts of purchase and sale as required documents.

All FIATA documents issued by ELFA are numbered and strict accounting is kept of them. After using the documents, the recipient is, at least once a year, obligated to submit a report regarding using the documents.
